Hi Harry, I just bought an 81 GMC 3/4 TON and just had the body restored along with new floor.

It rained for 10 days straight and I noticed I had water all inside the cab floor. The body shop has installed new rubber in the doors and sill.

Please help. I don't want to replace the floor again

Thanks

Thanks for your quick response.

I seems the windshield seal is tight with no cracks. It only happens when it rains. Could it be the rubber seal between the wipers and the hood?

Thanks

Jose,

Odds are the water came from a windshield leak rather than around the doors.  The water will run down behind the dashboard and then to the floor.

Other possibilities include a stopped up A/C drain hose or the heater core.  If you have coolant installed in the engine, you would smell it if the heater core was leaking.

Answer
Jose,

No, the hood seal is too far forward for rain to get into the cabin.  You might have a leak under the windshield wiper area but that would be unusual and probably the result of someone drilling a hole for an antenna.

You may have to spend some time inside your vehicle during the next rain storm with a flashlight looking up under the dashboard.  That may be the only way to find the leak,
