GM-GMC: 1995 c3500 tail light fuse, auto electric repair, c3500

Question
my 95 chevy is giving me fits. The tail light fuse continually blows, sometimes as soon as I turn on the light, other times it takes as long as an hour. I have tried a new headlight switch, No Luck. I have checked all of the bulbs and all are good. I tried to disconnect the tail lights, clearance lights to try to isolate the trouble..No Luck. In the dash the wires to the back of the switch have been cut (before I bought it) and taped back together. I have untaped them and checked to make sure there was not a short. No Luck...I am at the end of my rope...what else can i check?

Answer
There is probably a point where a wire has had its insulation rubbed through and it is shorting against ground.

This kind of problem is extremely difficult to find.

Unless you want to trace each wire associated with the tailight  circuit, along its entire length, you should try to find a shop that specializes in auto electric repair.
