GM-GMC: Chevy odometer, mechanical speedometer, digital odometer

Harry.  you say you have experience with electrical but my truck is not diesel, at least this one isnt. 1988 k2500 gas 350. speedometer works but odometer quit. is it the dash unit ?   If this is out of your area I apologize.  Thanks Jim

I guess that this is an electrical question and that you have a digital odometer.

If you do, I cannot do more than guess at the solution since I don't have a vehicle with digital gauges.

For a mechanical speedometer, the odometer failure would be a mechanical issue inside the speedometer.

The cheapest fix may be to try and find a used unit in a salvage yard.
