GM-GMC: Engine Light Code Readers, e mail address, quality code

Due to increasing problems with my aging cars, I've purchased a good quality code reader. It lists error codes together with a snapshot of several common engine statuses (engine temp, RPM, load, etc). An additional feature is realtime monitoring of more than 50 engine status outputs while running or driving the vehicle. Although I'm familiar with the simple realtime codes, I don't have a clue to what most of them mean, and I can't find anything on what is normal or abnormal. My Haynes and similar books provide no help. Do you know where I can find pass/fail information for these codes. Thanks.

Althought I do not have vehicles with OBD, I do have a Word document with a pretty complete list of what the codes are.

They are not written as "pass/fail" but, when indicated, are taken to mean that there is a problem with whatever they are indicating.
