i have a 1991 chevy s-10 pickup. We replaced the rear end thinking it was the problem we are having but not so.The back tires locked up causing the truck to ditch- it is vibrating and there is a grinding noise in one or both of the front brakes-- is this a pressure plate-transmission-or what do you think is the problem?Thank you the rear end completely locked up-- we changed the rear end but yesterday when it was driven to work it started loosing power and started vibrating bad-- we need new brakes on the front thatys why i mentioned that part-- could our problem now be the transmission or pressure plate or clutch or all three?Thank you
Answer -
I do not understand why the front brakes are mentioned and then the question is asked about the pressure plate-transmission.

I cannot sort this question out.  There are too many unrelated symptoms and not enough information.

The vehicle needs to be looked at by a mechanic.

Answer
Vibration can be caused by tires out of balance, a driveshaft out of balance, bad universal joints or constant velocity joints on driveshafts, and/or bent parts in any of the above items.

Sticking front calipers can cause the brakes to wear out quickly and loss of power.

Your vehicle needs to be professionally evaluated since there may be multiple problems.
