GM-GMC: 2002 chevy suburban daytime running lights, daytime running light, daytime running lights

Question
My passenger side light went out first and then the driver side daytime running lights. I observed some dark burn stains on the socket as i replaced the bulbs. They did not work, so I then checked for direct voltage at the 10a fuse and checked the relay, everything was normal, 14V at the fuse and good relay. I then checked for power at the socket and found none. I have observed the wiring and everything looks normal. I tried to trace the wires from the light going to the fuse box but found it to be complicated. what do you think the problem here is.

Answer
I think that you have already identified the problem as being between the daytime running light relay and the sockets where the bulbs plug in.

You will either have to trace the wires, or install new ones to bypass the section where power is not flowing.  If you install new wires, be sure that they are large enough to carry the current required by the bulbs.  Take the bulb's wattage and divide by 12 for the current in amps.  I would guess that you need either 16 or 14 gauge wire for the bypass.
