GM-GMC: I own a 1994 Chevy K-1500..., gauge needle, auto parts stores

Question
I own a 1994 Chevy K-1500 238,000 miles and like a rock. Have trouble with windsheild wipers. It has a delay but it operates continually. And check gage light comes on and alternator gauge needle reads low.

Answer
I would say that:
1) The wiper control switch has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
2) The alternator needs to be tested.  Many auto parts stores will test them for free.
3) The "check gage light" may be related to the alternator issue.  Check the alternator first.
