GM-GMC: 01 gmc jimmy surging/lack of power/bogging down ect..., fuel injection computer, mass air flow sensor

Question
hello,
I have replaced egr valve, plugs, wires, and its running horrible. when accelerator is applied it boggs down and it doesnt matter if sitting in park or trying to drive. its not a diesel but do you have any ideas?

Answer
There are many possible causes:
Intake manifold leak, mass air flow sensor, manifold absolute pressure sensor, dirty air and/or fuel filter, fuel injection computer problems, etc.  You did address the more common items that are likely to cause the problem you have.
In short, you need to take the vehicle to someone with an On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) code reader and see what trouble codes the computer might have stored.
Many auto parts stores have such code readers and will read them for free if you take your vehicle to them.
