GM-GMC: Turn signal not working on Drivers side, signal flashers, turn signal switch

Question
Hello,
This is my girlfriend's car - late year model 95 Tracker hardtop, 4 wheel Dr., auto, & most options.

The problem is that the turn signals AND the Emergency flashers on the drivers side do not work(in the dash, front, & rear).

I checked the front & back light sockets(no loose or bad connections) & replaced the bulbs.

I then replaced the flasher relay(3 prong) & still have the problem.  The turn signal switch does seem to work fine mechanically.

I checked & all other lights were working fine.

The bulb for the turn signal is only for the turn signal & flasher.
The arrangement is as follows:
     Turn signal/Flashers
     Driving light/Brake Light
     Reverse light
I checked & all other lights were working fine.

Thanks & please help,
Bill

Answer
Bill,

Iwould start by getting a good wiring diagram for your Tracker either on line or in from a manual, it will be a big help. You did not mention if only the left side emerg.lights are out and the right side works OK!? I'll assume thats whats happening.....It actually tough to recomend where to start without a diagram in front of me but one place would be any modifications in the light wiring anithing like a remote start or alarm that flashes the lights or a very high fail is trailer wiring if you have it, make sure all the wiring is in good shape. Very often a wire will rub through and cause some weird problems.
If theres nothing obvious you'll have to start from sratch, get a good quality test light and test your power out to signal flasher from you signal sitch(this is were you'll need your diagram) if Ok then your relay should be "clicking" if not your missing either a ground or a power for your relay. some of these cars use seperate relays for signal and emerg. flashers so if both are out it should be a common ground or power for both. Hope this helps a little, if you have any more info for me let me know I'll get myself a diargram and see how this system specifically works.
