GM-GMC: 98 Chevy Blazer Problems, chevy blazer, wheel button

Question
"My 98 Blazer LT (automatic transmission, with 41,000 miles) will shift from 2 wheel into 4 wheel drive on its own without pressing the 2 wheel/4
wheel buttons on the dash. Doesn't happen all the time but when it does it is only at a very slow speed (under 20 mile per hour), starting out or when
shifting into reverse. When I press the 2 wheel button on the dash it goes back to 2 wheel drive and everything is fine. Otherwise The truck is running
fine and like I said it doesn't happen every time I use it. I have never had anything go wrong with the Blazer since I bought it new and do regular
maintenence as suggested in the owners manual. ";

Dan - This may be a better question for the guys on the Auto Repair side of AllExperts, or go to rec.autos.tech and ask those guys.

But, that being said, if I remember correctly, I think we had one of these awhile ago.  And, again, I am going from memory, it had something to do with either the 4WD actuator at the transfer case or the switch - I cannot remember for sure.

Please do post this question to the Repair guys, or to the repair, or chevy Newsgroups.  They are the pros here, and there is no point in throwing money into parts without knowing.

If you have anything further, please drop me a line.

Happy Easter!
