GM-GMC: What ever happened to the Delorean?, lackluster sales, selling drugs

Question
I just wanted to know what ever happened to this make of car.  I do believe it was a GMC but correct me on that if I`m wrong.

Answer
Hi Danny - I think you have the "look" of the letters on the front of the grille confused.  Actually, they spelled "DMC", Delorean Motor Company, and not GMC.  I think it was late eighties, not sure of the exact year.

The stainless steel constructed car lasted only as long as Mr. Delorean's money, and subsequent arrest.  He was arrested for selling drugs to undercover police, in trying to raise funds for his failing car company.

It is said that one of the drawbacks of this car, was the cost from the use of exotic materials, and the fact that Delorean built absolutely everything for this car, including the engines.

Lackluster sales didn't add up to hus dream, and there have been other attempts, but so far, that is the only model built.  As far as I know...

If you have anything further, please feel free to drop me a line.

Automotively yours,

Dean
