Honda: 96 honda civic dx, catalytic convertor, carbon deposits

MY  HONDA CIVIC 96 DX IS RUNNING VERY SLUGGISH. WHEN I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC HE FOUND THE CATALYTIC CONVERTOR WAS CLOGGED WITH CARBON DEPOSITS  AND DID AN ENGINE OIL FLUSH AND FUSION FSC FUEL SYSTEM CLEANING. THAT WAS ABOUT 200 MILES AGO AND THE CAR IS WORSE. IT CRANKS FINE AND WHEN YOU DRIVE IT THE SHIFTING IS VERY SLUGGISH AND FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS STRAINING. TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION SPEC AND THE TRAN WAS OK. WHEN YOU DRIVE IT THE SYSTEM FEELS LIKE IT IS CLOGGED UP. THE CAR HAS LITTLE POWER AND STRAINS TO ACCELERATE. LIKE IT IS OUT OF TUNE BIG TIME. THE CAR WAS TUNED LESS THAN 15,000 MILES AGO. IS THIS SOME WIRE THAT IS LOOSE? THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING. I AM AFRAID IT IS GOING TO BREAK DOWN ON ME. WHEN I DRIVE IT ON THE EXPRESSWAY AT A CONSTANT SPEED THE SHIFTING IS STILL LABORED AND IT STILL FEELS LIKE THERE IS BLOCKAGE SOMEWHERE. IDEAS?

If the car is running this poorly , I would expect to see a check engine light on and a code stored. If there is a code please forward that information. The timing belt could be off a tooth or the car could have bad fuel pressure. I'll need some technical information to help with this complaint.
