Mercedes: Mercedes - Rubbing Noise...., mercedes 160, wheel motion

My 2 year old Mercedes 160 sport coupe has started making a loud rubbing noise that is linked with speed. It is very noticable when turning right but can't be heard when turning left.

I've done some research and think this may be connected to my foot operated parking brake. I did reverse from a parking space with it on a few weeks ago and think the noise has been around since then. Always when I first start the car the parking brake release lever doesn't always do it's job on the first attempt. Think another possibilty could perhaps be tyre pressure (which I haven't yet checked) just looking for some advice so I am clued up before taking it to a garage

How many miles on this vehicle? Is this a squeak or like tire rubbing against finder noise. Is it part of the steering wheel motion or continuous through the turn like the breaks are rubbing the disk.
Is this a front wheel drive vehicle?
