Mercedes: AC issue, windshield wiper motor, external wind

Question
1990 Mercedes I'm 2.6
220,000 miles
Edison, New Jersey

The other day I was out driving with my AC on, it was blowing perfectly through the dash, and all of a sudden with no warning it stopped. I didn't hear any weird noises or anything else to make me suspect its failure.  I tried to check the fuse box but I'm not certain that i checked the correct fuses.  I also noticed that if i click the ac on and then drive fast enough, i guess the external wind pushes the cold air out somehow so i know its working in that respect.  Any idea what went wrong and broke? how i could fix it or how much its going to cost me to fix it

Answer
Answer:

Sounds like the blower motor seized/locked bearings.
The blower is under the windshield wiper motor.
