Mercedes: E320 fan., climate control unit, worldpac com

i have a 1997 E320 est. and the fan seems to have a mind of its own, when i start the car the fan will come on for about 2 mins. and then it will blow at about 25% speed thereafter, what ever i do i can not alter the speed unless i stop the car for a few mins and start again. is it the fan that is a fault or the climate control unit on the dash, help please!

This sounds like the CCU is your issue.
