Mercedes: 1987 Mercedes 190D A/C and door lock problems, vacuum leak, vacuum line

Question
My center vents blow cold/cool air, but all the other ones are blowing hot, even though it's on the coolest setting with AC on. I read your comments on a different model and your suggestions were possibly a bad climate control, or bad vacuum pods. Would these be the same for my car, or are there other possiblities?

My driver side door will not unlock with the key, I have to go to the passenger side. Even on that side I have to pull the handle as I turn the key, it will not engage the other locks by turning it. I have to engage the door locks by manually pushing down on the drivers side lock. I would really like everything to work like it should, and at least be able to lock and unlock from the drivers side.
Any help is much appreciated

Answer
#1. Yes, plus possible massive vacuum leak.
#2. Possible bad vacuum lock pod, broken vacuum line.
