Mercedes: 1983 300 d mercedes diesel, banjo bolt, mercedes diesel

Question
My car will not pull out very fast.  After a period of 10 seconds it will finally show the power it should have when I first accelerated.  This is dangerous if I forget and pull out when a car is coming in my lane. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?  I changed the fuel filters but still have some hesitation.

Answer
Here is a post I wrote on power loss, and one common cause.
Banjo Bolt

If the Banjo Bolts or tube become plugged with carbon, the ALDA does not get intake manifold pressure reading = massive power loss.

Please remember that with a turbo, the intake manifold has pressure not vacuum.

The ALDA uses intake manifold pressure to supply - regulate turbo boost fuel feed.
