Mitsubishi: ABS Light Mitsubishi Eclipse GST 98, mitsubishi eclipse gst, mitsubishi eclipse

Question
Thank you for the answer. I cannot seem to get it work that way. As it was described I hold my foot on the pedal 3 seconds when I turn the ignition key on. I release and push the pedal every one second nine more times. But at the end nothing happens. ABS light is still on. It seems like I am interpreting something wrong. Do you have any idea where I might be making mistake?
Thank you,
Tom

Question -
I read in the maintenance manual that I can reset the ABS light manually. Manual indicates that when the ignition switch is turned on while the stop switch is on, the stop light switch will operate 10 times in succession according to the timing given below. What I can not figure out is what do they mean by "the stoplight switch will operate". Do I need to push break pedal to operate the stop light switch?
Thank you,
Tom

Answer -
Yes. Just hold your foot on the pedal. The computer will take it from there.

Answer
Hi Tom,

I can't find where I read this before, but you are not supposed to pump the pedal, just hold it down. If the light does not go out then you have a "hard" code and it will not clear until you have repaired the issue.

There will be a code on the ABS side of the computer. If you have a bad sensor, it will not go out. The code will tell you which sensor is out or what is going on with it.
