Mitsubishi: Mitsubish Air Conditioner, mitsubishi eclipse, condensor

Question
I have a mitsubishi eclipse 2003.  Trouble with air conditioner AGAIN.  Took to dealership and they "recharged it" and it worked fine for 2 weeks then started blowing hot air again.  Took it back again, and they did further testing and determined there were leaks.  I spent $2000 and my invoice startes they "found freon leak at condenser and evaporator.  They replaced the condensor, the evaporator, and the expansion value.  Total parts = $910, Total Labor = $900, plus rental car.  The work was done on 8/8 and today 8/29, my air conditioner is blowing hot air again.  Can you tell me if there are any specific problems with Mitsubishi's and the air conditioner that someone should check out.  ALso, if you were working on this car, what would you check next?  I have alreayd spent > $2000 on this problem, and they still don't have it right.  I'm very frustrated, and I live in FLORIDA!
Thanks,
Wendy

Answer
Hi Wendy,

No, nothing specific other then the dealer service department is a bit on the crappy side and charged you a ton, I mean a TON of money needlessly. This is likely an "O" ring leaking that cost like 40 cents. Find an auto A/C guy. Dealers are over priced and lousy. A/C guys specialize in just a/c. They will know where to look and fix this in a matter of minutes instead of weeks. On the other hand, if I were you, I would be screaming blood murder at the dealer and get the General Manager involved. Make a lot of noise in the showroom, trust me, this gets people's attention! For that kind of money they should have guy fanning you handing you iced tea's while you drive. LOL
