Mitsubishi: Power steering, mitsubishi eclipse gs, 1998 mitsubishi eclipse gs

1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T (Turbo). Hi Dinger! The  power steering became hard to turn after a 180 mile trip.  We checked the fluid.  It was low so we filled it.  It seems better.  No noticeable leaks.  Tire pressure seemed alright.  What could it be? Go Sox!

Hi Craig,

The bums lost again today. All-star break jinx. Hopefully, you have a check engine light on and it will tell you that you have a P0551 code, which is the power steering pressure switch failure. BTW you have a lower ball joint recall on this car. It also could be a bad ECU. I elect to try the pressure switch!
