Pontiac: 1995 Pont Grand Prix Se 3.1 running hot, electronic vehicles, fuel mileage

Question
My daughters car with 62000 mile runs hot 210 when coming to a stop. If rpms move up to 1500 while stopped temp starts to come down a little.  Replaced Rad. Water Pump, thermostat, cap, temp sending unit, does not loose coolant. I believe all air is out of the system. Please help thanks.

Answer
NORMAL running engine temp on today's electronic vehicles IS 220 DEGREES. NEVER EVER install a lower temp thermostat or you will suffer decreased fuel mileage and higher exhaust emissions that can cause the vehicle to FAIL an emissions test. As long at the temp doe not exceed approx 240 degrees except for that occassional extremly hot day in rush our traffic, I do NOT see ANY problems.
