Pontiac: 2000 pontiac will not start, pontiac dealer, bonniville

Question
I got a 2000 patiac bonniville and went to start it today and the lights and radio turn on fine but the engine does not even click or turn over.  tried to jump it but no luck.  i was looking for the starter but could not find it or the battery.  any help would be great.  also the display on the dash said to service the theft system, so i unbolted the positve on the fuse box and got ride of that but still had same problem with starting.

Answer
"SERVICE THE THEFT SYSTEM"
The car is telling you what to do. You have a problem with the theft system and there is no way that you can do this. You need to have the car towed to a shop, preferably a Pontiac Dealer, and have it diagnosed.
By the way, the battery is under the back seat. The starter is in the front of the car.
