Pontiac: steering wheel, steering wheel, screws

Question
how to remove steering wheel?

Answer
First try removing the main bolt that holds the steering wheel onto the column.  Of course you'll have to remove the horn pad and maybe some wires for the horn, it's all easy.  Then try and see if you can pull off the steering wheel, if it does not budge, you will have to go to an store and buy a steering wheel puller.  Basically, it has two long screws that screw into the steering wheel, it will have holes specifically for this, then you tighten the middle large pointed screw into the middle of the BIG screw in the middle of the steering wheel.  Tighten the puller and it will pop the steering wheel right out.  Putting the wheel back on is done usually without trouble, just put it on by hand and tighten down really good.  Of course make sure you put it on exactly in the same position again after you take it off.
