Porsche: Ignition Switch Connections, technical service bulletins, porsche dealer

Question
I have a replacement connector block for the back of the ignition switch but do not know which wire to position in each hole.
Do you know where I can get such information for a 1977, 911? The car being older than you advise on, but the source of information should be current and would be invaluable.

Thanks

Answer
Here's two suggestions for you.  1) Call your local library and ask if they provide access to EBSCOhost.  If they do you may be able to search that database and find something.  However, with the year in question (1977) I doubt that it would have been placed in the database.  You can find all the more recent stuff there though, including recall information and all the technical service bulletins that are sent to the dealer service advisors.  It might not be of help with this project, but it's a good resource that you might find helpful for your other vehicles.  2) The only other thing I can suggest is that you visit your local Porsche dealer.  Talk to the parts manager and/or the service advisor.  If they can't help you find the answer, nobody can.  Good luck!
