Porsche: door handle question, vw group, porsche dealer

Hello. I was wondering if a doorhandle off a 77 - 78 924 is the same as doorhandles off 88 - 94 Golfs/Jettas etc. The 924 doorhandle (broken inside) has VW and Audi insignia on the inside and looks somewhat simular if my memory serves me correct. Any info on that would be appreciated.

Sorry, Mike.  I don't have an answer for you on that one.  Although the Audi/VW group frequently uses the same parts suppliers that Porsche relies on, I find it unlikely that VW would be using 10+ year old parts.  You can probably get a quick answer by contacting the Porsche parts manager at your nearest Porsche dealer.  If no luck locally, call Ben in Porsche parts at 847-381-8900.  He should be able to get you a definitive answer.
