Porsche: RMS problem, porsche boxsters, porsche dealer

Question
Hi,
I've heard that all Boxter engines are subject to the RMS problem at some point. I am now comparing two 2002 model for purchase.  One has 33000 miles but just had an engine replaced by the Porsche dealer due to RMS.  The other one has 20000 miles but has not had a RMS problem. Assuming that the condition of the cars and the prices are about same, which one would you recommend that I buy. Their respective warranty is just about to expire.
Thanks in advance.

Answer
The car with fewer miles is definitely the better buy.  You shouldn't be too concerned about a RMS problem.  Porsche Boxsters are very reliable, low maintenance cars to own.  Especially when compared with other more exotic European makes.  Whichever you choose, an extended warranty may be purchased to provide with an additional two years of coverage up to 100,000 miles.  An extended warranty would give you peace of mind with either car that you won't run into an unexpected costly repair somewhere down the line.
