Saab: car turnsover, but wont start, fuel pump relay, jumper wire

Question
I have a 89 900 turbo. My son drove to work and when he went to leave it wouldn't start. I turned the key and couldn't hear the fuel pump come on, but when I ran the jumper wire to the #27 & #30 fuse the pump came on. I checked the coil & #1 spark plug and I have spark. I am thinking it might be in the ignition switch but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

Answer
Steve:
Sounds like it might be the fuel pump relay; with the jumper between fuse points 27 & 30, did you get the car to start? If so, consider the relay. Also, did you check the injectors firing? If you can provide more info regarding the above, I can hopefully provide progressively more help.
You can check the ignition switch by removing the top of the console between the two front seats.  Connections are  as follows:  "30" = 12V; "50" = starter motor; "54" = run;"15" = run + start; "X" = accessories + run + start; "+s" = "key in lock".

 Hope this helps,
