Saab: Saab engine slowly dies!, fuel starvation, saab engine

Question
Hi.

I have a Saab 93, 2005 plate. When I start the car it turns over, but doesn't carry on. The engine gradually dies down after it's started. The battery's fine as it starts every time, but once it's started, it kills off!

Suggestions would be great

Answer
Ubaka:
From your description, it sounds like it might be a "fuel starvation problem". The most likely cause is a blocked fuel filter. Other less likely causes would be the fuel pump itself, or the electronic injection system. I would try renewing the filter first, however.

 I hope this helps,
