Saab: Saab brake light, gear, model saab, saab 95

QUESTION: Dear Jerry, today's afternoon i washed my car and after i parked it for about 3 hours. When i back to my car, i found that the brake lights are not work and i cannot put the car into gear, the  the button on the switch is locked and i cannot switch it to any gear. Can you please tell me what happened to it ? what should i do?

 I am sorry, but as noted in my profile,my hands on experience is limited to the earlier SAAB 900s. ONLY. In general terms, however, your problem does sound like it is electrical in nature; I would check all fuses, especially No. 31 (brake lights on the older models).
