Saab: 1994 900 e-brake not working, emergency brake, rear brake pads

Question
I recently replaced the rear brake pads on my 94 convertible, (saab used 1993 parts for this years model).  Ever since the emergency brake will not engage.  Any ideas??

Answer
David:
When replacing the pads, you may recall the need to back out the 4mm internal pad adjusting screw in order to retract the piston.  After installing the pads, you should turn in this same screw so that the new pads touch the rotor, then back it our one-half turn, checking that the rotor turns freely. If you did not do this step, then there might be too much free play for the parking brake to firmly compress the pads against the rotor.
  Hope this helps,
