Saab: 2002 saab 9/5 arc turbo, vehicle security system, crank shaft

Question
This car is hard to start at times I was told it was the crank shaft postion sensor- But I'm worryed that the remote keys don't work either and could interfer with the vehicle security system. I was told the car start problem would be fine after replacing the senser. Will I still have problem because the remote keys don't work to open and close the doors. I was told I would have to replace the twice which is very expensive.

Answer
Guy:
I am sorry, but my personal hands-on experience is limited to the pre-1993 900's as stated in my profile. However, I can recommend a web site that will provide the most complete information on your vehicle that I know of, which is <www.alldatadiy.com>. It cost $25/vehicle/year, but is well worth the possible savings.
    Hope this helps
