Saab: fuel pump replacement, Saab fuel pump location

Question
what is the easiest way to change a fuel pump in a 1999 saab 9-3 turbo 2.0

Answer
Greg:
As noted in my profile, my experience is limited to the pre-1993 900s. On those models, the fuel pump is accessible under the trunk floor board, via a round covered access hole. Whether it applies to your model, I simply do not know. The pump is held in place by a rubber boot tightened by a large hose clamp.
I would recommend going to the website <www.alldatadiy.com> for info specific to your vehicle. It is $25/year/vehicle, but well worth the treasure-trove of do it yourself fixit knowledge!
