Question
I have a 95 Saab 9000 and the battery seems not to hold a charge. I had the battery cheked and was told it was fine.  There are no indicator lights on the dash at all.  I will get a jump and the car runs but when I turn it off the power is gone.

If it is truly an accurate battery check, then it could be that your charging system (alternator, regulator) is faulty OR it could also be a bad connection right AT the battery terminals, which somehow gets bypassed when you get a jump. It is most likely the former...your battery is used to keep the car running (which doesn't require much current), but never gets recharged...thus the inability to start the engine (which DOES take LOTSA current).
Have the charging system checked  Autozone may be able to do it gratis.
 Hope this helps,
