Saab: 93 Saab 900S will not turn over, saab 900s, short circuit

Question
Saab 900S,93, will not turn over:  When I turn the ignition, car does not start, battery gets hot as though there's a short circuit.  Pulled and tested starter-OK. Suspect sabotage by recent mechanic. What could he have changed to produce this fault?  The engine was turning over fine before he got it.

Answer
Hotep:
As you noted, there is probably a short circuit somewhere, most likely along the main power wire going to the starter. It will need to be inspected carefully.
I wish I could be more definitive, but the circuit is so simple, consisting of battery, wire and starter, so that is all it can be!

             Hope this helps,
