Saab: 1995 Saab seat adjustment, fuse panel, fuse box

Question
The electric adjustment for the front seats in my 1995 Saab convertible no longer work. They went out gradually, sometimes worked, sometimes not. The drivers side went first then the passenger side. I have checked fuses and connections but cant find the problem. Please advise.

Thank you.

Answer
Jeff:
I am sorry, but as stated in my profile, my hands-on experience is limited to 1990 and OLDER SAABS. Thus, I can only provide generic advice.
It is likely a corroded wire joint somewhere...you'll simply need to trace the harness to its source at the fuse panel. In such cases, I have simply run a new wire from the fuse box directly to the appliance.
The very best info for your car can be had at <alldatadiy.com> for a $25/year subscription. Schematics, color codes, and wire harness routing info is provided. I think it's well worth it!
