Saab: Key sticking, saab dealer, saab 900

Question
I have a 1995 Saab 900. When the key is in the LOCK position, it is sticking and hard to turn to ON. When I jiggle it for awhile, eventually I can get to to turn. I have no trouble turning it from OFF to ON. My question is this: can I just leave the key in the car in the OFF position without draining the battery? What is the difference between OFF and the LOCK?
Thanks!

Terry:
My hands-on experience is limited to the SAABS older than yours, so my comments are only 'educated" guesses. Nonetheless, as long as no dash lights or other indications are showing, I would say that "off" is a safe bet to leave the key in without draining the battery. In off, the key cannot be removed whereas it can in lock. I have no other logical explanation. Sorry.
Have you a local SAAB dealer to ask?
