Toyota: electric door locks, electric door locks, fuse boxes

Question
I have a 2000 Solara and the electric door locks stopped working. I tried the key in the door, the button on the door and the remote and nothing works. I looked for a fuse or reay but could not find one. Can you tell me if there is a fuse or relay? It seems like an electrical problem.

Answer
There are both fuses and relay.  Here's the order I want you to tackle this problem.  First, let's go for the "power" fuse in the fuse box.  I can't tell you where it's exactly at but it's in one of the fuse boxes.  Just pop them open and look at the diagram inside.  You're looking FIRST for the "Power" fuse.  Check that to see if it's burnt out.  NEXT, you'll be looking for the "Radio/Cig" fuse, check to see if that's burned out.  If those two are fine, then we move to the "door lock relay" which should be around the passenger's feet.  It could be either out the in the open but more likely than not, it'll be behind a removable panel.

I hope this helps!
