I bought a Toyota Corolla 1994 and am in fixing things. My most important is the speedometer.
It was moving sometimes only then suddenly died. usually is when I acelerate over 55 mph, goes
from 60 to 40 pmh mark, back and ofward and when I let go of the acelerator it just drops dead.
I went to a Junk yard and got me one from a 95 toyota, identical. Put it in and it did the same. I
think is the sensor in the transmission. Am I right? If so, how and were I fix it? The other one is
the air condicioner. The previous and only owner told me she fixe it once and was running all
right, then she didnt use the car for 2 months, when she drove it again the gas was gone. Any
comment?

Thanks in advance!

Well, here's what the speed sensor looks like for my tranmission.  Try to see if you can find
something similar on yours.

As far as the air conditioner, it should not have been empty after three months.  The A/C system
may have a leak so I recommend doing a leak test.  Be very careful when filling it up to.  You
must use the correct refrigerant and make sure you put it in the right line.  It's probably best to
get an A/C technician to help with that.

Hope this helps,

Thanks David, I will buy the one you show me, here in Puerto Rico they ask for a LOT MORE!
($210)
PLease, tell me HOW, and what to do to get it out and puting the new one in. I bought a macanic
book, illustrated and all that but nothing about replacing the speed sensor, lost $28 dollars there
and I am near broke, HELP!

Answer
But, the speed sensor I showed you was for a 92-94 Toyota Camry.  Meanwhile, as far as installation, it should be fairly easy.  A matter of loosening two bolts to pull out the entire assembly.  What you should do is to pull it out of your transmission right now.  That way you can see what it looks like and you can also see how to take it out.

Search on Ebay for the sensor of your car and maybe you'll be lucky. If not, you should try something like "http://www.partsamerica.com".
