Toyota: 92 Toyota pick-up transmission, clutch pressure plate, gear ratios

Question
I have a 92 Toyota pick-up 2wd. It has 186,000 miles and I purchased it new. I had a clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing replaced in it at 176,000 miles. I have been hearing a small winding noise that comes and goes in the transmission for some time.Even before the 176,000 mile repairs were made. I have also noticed a small fluid leak around the top plate (the plate with the 4 bolts below the shifter). Now I can't get the transmission to shift into 3rd. or 4th. gear. All other gears are fine.

Answer
Hello,

I think the 3rd and 4th gear ratios (the pinions I think they're called, sorry I'm not sure about the word in english) are gone! or maybe the synchronizers, too...
You must have your gearbox opened and checked.

Hope this helps!
