My camper van pops out of gear when reversing up hill, how can this be corrected?

Hi Keith,

You can check the Bentley manual to properly adjust the shift linkage.

However....
Most likely, and through many years of experience, it sounds like the transmission is wearing out.

The good news is that you will be able to hold the stick shift down while reversing for years to come. (plus try to avoid reversing up hills).

Ultimately, I think you should start saving for a rebuilt or new tranny.
