Volkswagen: retro-fitting anti-lock brakes, disk brake conversions, volkswagen beetle

I want to by a old school Volkswagen beetle 1965-1977 and want to know can it be retro-fitted with anti-lock brakes.

 I do not know of anyone who offers anti-lock conversion kits.  The reason is likely because it requires a car computer which is programmed for this function.
 However, disk brake conversions are definitely available, and highly recommended.  I have done both of ours, my '71 Super and my wife's '73 "Thing", and we love it.  Here is one example:
