Volkswagen: fuel tank, electric fuel pump, dual carbs

I recently converted from FI to dual carbs. I don't want to change the fuel tank, but it has two outlets. I need to plug one. Which one goes to the bottom of the tank? And how does one efficiently plug an outlet?

It's hard to tell what outlet you are referring to.  The best way to check is by the flow.  Simply put a cup underneath the tank. Whichever fills the quickest is the best outlet.

If you have a VW manual, it is the line that originally connected to the electric fuel pump.

In order to plug the line, the best way to do this is to buy a special fuel line plug, they sell them at auto parts stores.  Use a clamp to hold the other side of the line to the nipple.
