Volkswagen: Golf V 2.0 Tdi electrical problem, windscreen wiper, electrical problem

Hi there. Last night i got into my vehicle and everything had been reset. After reading the manual it said that it appeared my battery had been disconnected. This is not possible as no one could have accessed my car. There is also a problem that whenever i start or turn off my car the windscreen wiper moves ever so slightly. Please help.

 The manual is correct.  However, this could be an indication of a charging system problem, such as the alternator not outputing the required voltage to charge the battery.  Also, there could just be a loose connection, or corrosion on the battery terminals.
