Volkswagen: VW Passat TDi 1997, bba reman, abs pumps

Question
The car is not starting, on my panel I have the airbag light on And the ABS flashing while trying to start. What should I do? I can not get hold of a Haynes on my coutry. really need help.

Without a scanner diagnostic to pull the DTC codes, you are shooting in the dark.  However, two major parts are involved with the ABS, the pump and the controller.  Here's just one a link to replacements:
