Volkswagen: volkswagen jetta synthetic transmission fluid, adirondack auto brokers, synthetic transmission fluid

Is there another brand of synthetic transmission fluid that i can use on my 2001 jetta, rather that paying the high price at the dealer for the pentosin brand. I do not have a tiptronic transmission, and Mobil One makes a synthetic dextron 3 that can be used on European cars, will it work for my car?

Assuming your car has an automatic transmission,...there are some alternatives, however I prefer pentosin.  You do not have to buy it from the dealer however.  I actually order mine from Adirondack auto brokers in NY, or vwparts.com.   Great parts people with much lower prices.
