Volkswagen: 2006 Passat - car is shaking, advance auto parts, malfunction indicator light

When I am stopped at a red light/stop sign... my car just started bouncing/shaking by itself. At the same time, the malfunction indicator light came on. Can you tell me what can cause this? Back in February there was a recall regarding the vaccuum pipe - but I got it taken care of.

I need you to be a bit more exact with what the car is doing.  Does the car actually bounce? Also I need to know the weather conditions this is happening in.  What engine is in your car?  what transmission?  Is this Passat all wheel drive or front wheel drive?  If you aren't sure and the cel (check engine light) is on... take the car to your nearest Autozone or Advance auto parts and they will pull the codes on your car for free.... then send me a note and maybe that will help us a bit.   Let me know if I can help you out with the above.
