Volkswagen: speedometer, speedometer cable, stock equipment

I have a 1970 Ghia and the speedometer is broke. I have tried to find a matching one, however, the ones that match have digital trips and mileage display. Will this work before I buy one? I just see the speedometer cable that screws into the back of my old one, no electrical wires except for the light bulb.

The best solution is to find a new or used speedometer.

I believe they sell them new.  Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the digital gauges, and don't want to give you the wrong information.

You are best with the stock equipment.
