Volkswagen: converting into camper, professional shop, manufactor

I just bought a 86 vanagon GL with the manufactor sunroof, I was wondering if I can put a camper top on it without cutting the roof and if so what tpye and would it have the bed up top?

Hi Garrison,

The roof would indeed need to be cut for a pop-top.   Further, it must be done by a professional shop, as a mid-line support beam is needed to keep it from peeling open like a baked-potato!

One other suggestion is to install a z-bed in the rear. (a bench that converts to a bed)
