Hi hope you can help ,after changing oil and filter on 2003 golf how do i reset the ecu for the next service or am i tied to the dealership to carry out this task.

Hi Phillip,

The best bet at this point is to drive it over to an oil change facility like Jiffy Lube, and ask them to reset the lights for you.

They are usually very good about it, as they posess the tools and it only takes about 2 minutes.

If you want to purchase the reset tool for yourself, they usually are around $200.00.
