Volkswagen: brake light bulb replacement, screw driver, plastic nut

1999 Beetle. My daughter recently bought the car with only 37,000 miles--no owners manual. Left brake light is out.  I have "popped" the round plastic cover inside the trunk-but I am not sure what to do next.  Advice would be very much appreciated.

behind the panel there is a plastic nut, unscrew this. Then you will need to gently prize the rear light out on the boot lid edge using a flat bladed screw driver. once the light unit is out, remove the light panel and replace the bulb. rebuild in reverse order.
